George Lopez’s multi-faceted career encompasses television, film, standup comedy and late-night television. By the late 1980s, the Mission Hills, California native was playing clubs around the country and appearing on television shows and comedy specials. He is currently regarded as a top comedian.
Lopez most recently completed a comedy tour entitled The Comedy Get Down with the late Charlie Murphy, Eddie Griffin, D.L. Hughley, and Cedric the Entertainer in arenas across the country. The comedians also recently wrapped a BET scripted comedy series based on their tour.
Lopez is also starring in his new comedy series, Lopez on TV Land. Starring and produced by Lopez, the series explores how he struggles between his two worlds and crises that are often of his own making. The half hour single camera serialized comedy consists of 12 episodes and has been renewed for a second season.
